How much would a double Chivas cost at a bar? Do most bars carry Chivas Regal?

What other types of scotch do most bars carry? How would you order scotch at a bar?|||To be thought of as a credible Scotch drinker, there are only 3 ways to order Scotch.

"Neat" - at room temperature in an old fashioned glass (which is the only way a Scotsman will order a single malt).

"On the rocks" - poured over ice in an old fashioned glass (usually blends only - Chivas, Johnny Walker, Whyte %26amp; Mackay, Cutty Sark)

"With Water" - neat with a small vial of water served along side it (only for sinlge malts as the addition of water makes a sinlge malt "sweeter" - a drop to a teaspoon only)

There are over 100 different distillers of Scotch and each may have 5 to 10 different aged varieties and finishes. Commonly in the US, people think of Scotch as one of the blends: Chivas, Johnny Walker, Cutty Sark, Whyte %26amp; Mackay, Black %26amp; White, Dewars, Ballentines, Famous Grouse, Teachers.

The most promoted single malt in the world is probably Glenlivet 12yr in a green bottle. Not a great single malt, but a reliable one.

Common single malts would be the Macallan 12yr, the Glenlivet 12yr/18yr, Oban, Lagavulin 16yr, Laphroaig 10yr/15yr, Bruichladdich 10yr/12yr.|||Where I bartend it would cost you $9.50 for a double Chivas. Scotches should be either straight, on ice, or mixed only with water, soda water, or tonic water. IE: something with little to no flavor. Scotches are not gulped but sipped. At my bar, we also carry Glenlivet, Johnny Walker Red, Dewars, and our well scotch is Old Smuggler. Most high end bars carry Chivas Regal. You probably won't find it in any hole in the wall.|||u cant be serious right? how old are you?

you ask for a scotch on the rocks or scotch and coke or what ever way u want it....i know its pretty tough but you should be able to master it after a few tries!|||Almost every bar should stock it. It's very popular. A double would cost anywhere from $8-$13 depending on the bar.|||it would cost you in Northern Wi bar where i work 5.50
