Should Celtic sponsor a United States Major League soccer team similiar to Chivas USA? Celtic USA?

As a Celtic admirer and an American I would love to see a Celtic USA team. The team has such a following and to see the hoops here would be great. The Mexican leagues Chivas has done it will anyone else?|||There already is, the Boston Celtics. HAHAHAHAHAHA....

In all seriousness, I think that'd be a great idea. I disagree with the above poster who said that it wouldn't work. Before Chivas USA, I had very little knowledge of the parent club. Celtic is reasonably well-known amongst football fans, their kits are very distinctive, and I think that they could draw fans anywhere (except LA, there's too many teams out there anyway and there's about to be another in San Jose...again lol). Crystal Palace has a sponsered team here in USL's PDL that's doing alright also, even without the name recognition amongst casual fans that Celtic has.

Anyhoo, yes, they should. If they put the new team in Detroit, it might be an excuse to save Tiger Stadium...|||You can't compare the following of Celtic to Chivas in North America because the Chivas following is much larger and despite that large following, the Chivas USA franchise is not exactly a $$$ making machine. Their ticket prices are even lower than that of the Galaxy and their attendence is also lower. Now Chivas USA is not in danger of folding, but they aren't exactly what you would call "prosperous" and if they can't do better, then I see no reason why a Celtic USA team would do better. Celtic doesn't have the connection to fans in the USA that Chivas has. I don't think there will ever be a Celtic USA.|||that will be cool and maybe soccer will grow in the u.s.
